Duplex S31803 Tube is high molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen content in Seamless Tubes. Mo, Cr, and N added in these tubes tend to offer excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion attack. The duplex structure provides our ASTM A789 Welded Tubes with exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Usage of these Duplex Steel S31803 Tubings should be limited to applications below 600 Degree F only. Extended elevated temperature exposure can reduce both the toughness and corrosion resistance of our ASME SA789 tubes. Often a light gauge of these Duplex Steel Round Tubes can be used to achieve the same design strength of a thicker nickel alloy. The resulting savings in weight of our Super Duplex Steel Square Tubes can dramatically reduce the overall cost of fabrication. These Duplex Steel Rectangular Tubes is highly resistant to uniform corrosion by organic Plateids such as formic and acetic acid.
Our Super Duplex Steel Electropolish Tubes is also highly resistant to inorganic acids, especially if they contain chlorides.
