The purpose of this specification API 5L grade L245 Line pipe is for conveying of all types of gases, water, and oil in petrochemical industries. American petroleum institute (API) has categorized grades PSL 1 and PSL2 according to the Product Specifications Levels (PSL) as per technical requirements. It is now known as new standard EN 10208-2, L245NB ERW Pipe. PSL 1 is a standard quality for line pipe, These line pipe can be supplied in Grades A25 through X80 standard Grades A25, A, B, X42, X46, X52, X56, X60, X65, X70 and X80. PSL I pipe can be supplied in Grades A25 through X70 and not in grade B.
ISO certified API 5L gr L245 has special mechanical properties in terms of

Yield Strength >= 36ksi MPA
Tensile Strength >= 52 ksi MPA.

It has a tolerance of Cold drawn pipe: +/-0.1mm and for Cold rolled pipe: +/-0.05mm for round or hydraulic forms.
