Corten A steel is weather resistant steel created by alloying copper, chromium and nickel. In addition to this, ASTM A519 grade 1026 Seamless Tube has added phosphorous which makes the material best suited for gas flue applications and for aesthetic fascias. Corten A Steel Rectangular Pipe material is not recommended in heavy load bearing applications.
The outer layer of the Corten A Steel ERW Pipe reacts with atmospheric elements to form a rust colored protective layer which not only makes the steel virtually maintenance free but also provides a pleasing and consistent finish.
